Student Arrested for Malware Attack on School Network

A University of Alberta student has been arrested for infecting the school's network with malware with the intent to steal passwords. The malware attack affected 304 computers and compromised the passwords of more than 3,300 school employees and students. The mode of infection was not disclosed. The university has since advised all affected users to change their passwords.
