The decryptor for version three of the Globe ransomware has been released. It is able to decrypt files appended with .decrypt2017 and .hnumkhotep extensions. Victims need to have an encrypted file and the same files in its unencrypted form in order to use the decryptor.
Discovered in early 2017, Globe version three was constructed using a ransomware building kit. The building kit enables developers to customise ransom demands and bitcoin addresses for different attacks. Unlike previous versions that used the Blowfish encryption algorithm to lock files, version three encrypts files using Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) 256 algorithm.
